Today was the beginning of my restart. Earlier in the year I completed Cool Runnings Couch to 5K program and was able to complete a 5K, 15K, and a Half Marathon, along with a couple of Triathlons. Since then I’ve not a lot of running, not really sure why but recently I’ve started thinking that it was time to get back at it. Earlier last week I installed the app on my phone and today was day 1.
I completed 2.11 miles in 30 minutes, averaging a 14+ minute mile, not really where I want to be, but I have to keep in mind that I am starting over and no matter where I was before, this is where I am now. I have a goal to get down to less than a 10 minute mile.
I’m so excited to start over and get through the ups and downs and all of the challenges that will come my way. No matter what, I’m in this for the long haul.
