30 Days to the New Me!

A few months ago I was following the Atkins diet, which really helped me shed weight, but along with cardio and strength training I was able to uncover the body that I wanted to see.  However, as usual, I fell off and I fell off hard.  Now I have gained some of the weight back and I’m feeling pretty miserable about it.  Last week I decided that I needed to get back on track, but I realized that with it being the Thanksgiving holiday, it was not a good idea to start then.  There is no point in setting yourself up for failure.  My plan of action incudes, Dr. Oz’s 3 day detox- to help flush out all of the bad stuff that I ate. Then from there I am going to begin eating the Paleo way. 

I chose this because it is realistic for my life.  It allows me to eat 3 “cheat” meals a week and it doesn’t restrict fruit like the Atkins does.  Also, based on my research, this form of eating is good for people who strength train and who are triathletes like me. 

Today is day 1 and I weighed in at 179, I’m not happy about that, but I realize that it can only get better from here.
