I have been trying to lose weight for what seems like forever. Many times I am excellent in my exercise efforts, doing everything that I am supposed to do and exercising several times a week. Other times I focus on the latest diet trends and try to focus on my eating habits. In order to get where I want to be I have to focus on both. Diet and exercise have to work together to help me accomplish my goals. Currently I am addressing both angles and guess what: I am seeing results.
One of my biggest challenges has been being consistent with packing lunches and snacks on a nightly basis so this week I want to try something new. I’ve packed my breakfast, lunches, and snacks for the entire week so that I have no choice but to eat healthy meals for the whole week and I only have to worry about cooking dinner.
On tap for this week:
Old fashioned oatmeal with walnuts and dried cranberries
4 oz. chicken breast, ½ cup of brown rice, and 1 cup of veggies
Snacks 1 and 2 (choosing a different option daily):
Egg Whites with Fruit
Greek yogurt with fruit
Cottage Cheese with fruit
Hummus with Veggies
Rice Cake with Nut Butter and fruit or veggie
Veggies with 2 oz lean meat
Veggies or Fruit with Nuts or Nuts Butter
I’m really hoping that doing this will help me see even more changes in my body and maintain consistency in my weight loss efforts.
